Wrinkles are a fact of life. They come with age and there is no stopping them. The simple truth is, that when you get one wrinkle, more are sure to follow. There are steps you can take to prevent wrinkles:
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. Besides putting moisturizer on your face, you need water stores in your body to keep skin supple and healthy.
If you have dry skin, eat walnuts, sprinkle olive oil over your food and make sure your body gets the essential oils it needs to lubricate your skin. Dry skin gets wrinkles more quickly.
Stay out of the sun. Using sunscreen anytime that you go outside is the best way to keep age spots and wrinkles at bay. Although the largest part of people does not realize it, sun is one of the worst factors for your skin. It sucks out the moisture and the UV light can cause much more grave conditions then just wrinkles, such as skin cancer.
Keeping your skin clean is a crucial step to reduce the chances of getting wrinkles. Cleansing creams may be a little more expensive than regular soap, however you will notice the results when your skin has a healthy glow. You need a cleanser that will clean your skin without drying it out.
Sleep on your back. Sleeping on your side or stomach causes sleep lines, that can turn into wrinkles, because when you press your face against the pillow the wrinkles are ironed onto your skin. If you train yourself to sleep on your back, you will have fewer face lines. Or, you can use a silk or satin pillowcase to reduce the pressure on your face.
Of course, it is impossible to halt the aging process but its visible affect on your skin can be slowed down so that the appearance of wrinkles starts later rather than sooner.
