Boryeong Mud Festival

The Boryeong Mud Festival is one of the famous festivals in South Korea which happens every year in the summer. The mud of this festival is taken from Daecheon beach in the Boryeong city.

The Korean Research Institute of Standards and Science, Korean Research Institute of Chemical Technology, Taepyungyang Technology Institution declared that this mud can be used for cosmetic and healthy goals. This mud contains Germanium, Mineral and Bentonite items which they are useful for the human body.

The participants of this festival can play with mud, share in fireworks, bring their favorite drinks, indulge in mud bathing, share in contests and mud sliding

The first Mud Festival took place in 1998 and now this festival attracted many persons around the world. The Korean responsible of this mud festival afford hotels, restaurants and free bus for tourists to make them watch the coal mine and a famous Buddhist shrine.

The Mud Festival affords enjoyable experience for its participants and allow them wallowing in the human elements, the water and the dirt.
